SEPTEMBER 14, Anne Sutcliffe
Anne Sutcliffe FRPS, EFIAP is an enthusiastic creative digital photographer. Some of her images and thoughts about image making can be seen on her website www.annesutcliffe.com Having gained so much from photography, Anne is keen to share her enthusiasm with others. She has exhibited in numerous Exhibitions over the years but remains determined that her images should be created to please herself and not the judges. Her first photographic lecture was to a group of nuns. Since then she has lectured to fellow photographers in the UK and Ireland and judged international exhibitions in these countries as well as the US. She is a member of the invitation only Eyecon Group and the London Salon of Photography. She currently serves on the RPS Licentiate Distinctions panel and is expected to take over as one of three chairmen in November 2010. By profession, she is an anaesthetist and for over 15 years was actively involved in staging the Annual Art Exhibition of the Association of Anaesthetists. This provided a perfect forum for developing the artistic talents of her colleagues who although confident with the scientific skills needed for their profession, lacked confidence in their undoubted artistic abilities.
